Norv Turner Steps Down As Viking's OC

Comes as a shock.  I wonder what the circumstances are.  Could his resigning be health related?

Boy, just one more thing the Vikings have to deal with this season.

Hmmm, sounds like it's not health related.  Rumblings of discontent by or with Turner is sounding like the cause.

Well, recent results could support that, but he got dealt a difficult hand this year.

Rumor has it Turner and Zimmer has a big blow up behind closed doors.  Also remember, there's Pat Shurmur, the now interim OC, who coached Sam Bradford in both other team (Rams and Eagles), and that Turner has not been able to generate a run game (which I told NFLfan about in order to continue success with Sam as QB).  Mix in Sporano and Zimmer (lots of Alpha dogs there) and you can get everyone with valued input on the direction of the offense misaligned with the OC himself.  I think this just might be the case here.

 

Shurmur has had great success as OC with Bradford at QB in limited time together.

Here is a team that is like 5-2 and has their whole offensive line decimated by injuries yet they still hold their coaches accountable. Hmm...I'm just saying........
