I doubt they are that concerned.   There will always be more young players to fill the spots

There are plenty of players.   It's not like there are dozens of young very talented players retiring every year.   A handful in the past few years.    It's not that new either.   It just gets more run now.   Lots of players have retired due to injuries, or fear of debilitating injuries in the past

If you were to believe the media's portrayal of it, it's epidemic.  It's really not.  And retiring at 29 is not that crazy, anyway.  It's early, sure.  But the guy has played like 8 seasons.  He would've been on the decline in 2 years or so even without injuries (probably sooner considering them).
