My Colts Dream Offseason

This is a version of the Colts draft and free agency that I would love to see happen. Granted some luck would have to come the Colts way, but this offseason in my opinion would make them dramatically better...(Every position addressed)

 

Free agency

Indy resigns DT Billy Winn, ILB Jerrell Freeman, K Adam Vinatieri, TE Coby Fleener

Indy cuts WR Andre Johnson, OLB Trent Cole, ILB D'Qwell Jackson

Indy trades DE/OLB Bjoern Werner to Atlanta for 2017 6th round pick, possible 5th if he starts certain number of games

Indy signs ILB Danny Trevathan, CB Trumaine Johnson, LG Kelechi Osemele, C Stephen Wisnewski

 

Draft

Round 1 Pick 28 (K.C.): Jack Conklin, OT, Michigan State (A-)
Round 2 Pick 17: Shaq Lawson, DE, Clemson (A+)
Round 2 Pick 28 (K.C.): Noah Spence, OLB, Eastern Kentucky (A)
Round 3 Pick 19: Vonn Bell, SS, Ohio State (A+)
Round 3 Pick 28 (K.C.): Sheldon Rankins, DT, Louisville (A+)
Round 4 Pick 18: Paul Perkins, RB, UCLA (A+)
Round 5 Pick 16: D.J. White, CB, Georgia Tech (A)
Round 6 Pick 1 (CLE): Deiondre' Hall, CB, Northern Iowa (A+)
Round 7 Pick 18: Leon Allen, RB, Western Kentucky (A)

 

Trades - Indy trades 18th overall pick to KC for their 1, 2, 3

            - Indy trades 2017 5th for 2016 6th round pick

It's never good to do Mock's with trades because:

 

1. They don't happen that often

2. They're often unrealistic

 

Indy is not going to trade their 18th pick to KC just because we want to have more picks to fill every hole. They'll make 1 trade at most and it'll be something minimal like the trades we made last year.

 

Granted its a "Dream Scenario Mock", but it's even unrealistic for that.

There is no way KC gives us a first, second, and third for our first rounder.

That draft would probably be the sexiest draft I have ever seen lol. And if you replace Conklin and Lawson with Leonard Floyd and Darrian Thompson then WOW. But the question is. Who would KC want bad enough to give up their 1st 2nd and 3rd to move up 8 or 9 spots. I'd say a major name would have to fall. Like Hargreaves, Bosa, Buckner, etc. And some major incompetence from KC's part. But I would consider trading down 4-5 spots to grab an extra 3rd or something though because I think we could still get Spence or Floyd in the 20's.

Not unless there's a plan in place for KC's owner and GM to buy the Colts

Love the draft but Lawson will be gone by number 20 in the first round, and Spence will be gone early 2nd at latest. Also Vonn Bell will go sooner. I think the only person who may drop is Conklin. Still that is a dream draft!
