That is so twisted... Steroids won't hurt your perception of a football player but Cocaine oh that one will? That doesn't seem odd to you? lol Just an observation

There are ALOT of players in the league on steroids. Some couldn't play in the league without them. I'm not saying its right or should be legal but I wouldn't have a problem with GH or steroids but I definitely would with cocaine because of the reason and effects on an individual taking them. There is a huge difference IMO!

Not sure if serious

I used to have the same problem deciding if DougDew was being serious so I developed this test:

Did DougDew say something ridiculous?    No  -->   Possibly serious

                                                                    Yes -->   Definitely serious

Good gawd. The degree to which people obsess with weed and the NFL policy on it everybody would know that pot is falls into the depressant category of substances. The medical benefits...so called if you believe that stuff....is similar to a pain killer. Alcohol is another depressant (people generally abuse it to relax). Any substance can have different immediate effects from one person to another but medically they are both depressants, even though MJ possesses some stimulant qualities.Coke is a stimulant (so is nicotine BTW, although it also possess some depressant qualities). That's why in many fast paced professions coke is the drug of choice.Whereas, laying around doing nothing is the typical attitude of pot smokers. That's why I'd never draft anybody linked to pot. It reflects a certain attitude that is inconsistent with being employed. Too bad for them they are still required to get a job.Yes, I'm serious. There is a difference in mindsets, which is why some get satisfaction from stimulants, and others get satisfaction from depressants.Don't confuse substances with their hallucinogenic qualities. All impair judgment when abused and taken to excess, but that isn't really the clinical categorization of them. Caffiene is a stimulant too, but doesn't possess hallucinogenic qualities, neither does nicotine.

Lol...thank for your totally unnessary drug classification rant. You're like the guy who cuts and pastes every marvin Harrison stat when discussing his carer....as though it was unknown. and I appreciate that you started off with "good gawd" though......that was a nice DB touch.

Failing a drug test is one thing....failing two is another....failing your third the week of the biggest day of your professional career....just ignorance on an epic level. I would be surprised to see him even drafted in the first rd. Rd 2 probably. He is already in the program and he hasn't spent a day on an NFL team. Sad. I would say he loves pot more than football...more than money...more than his family...thats a problem in my world. Can't see us taking him unless its later in the draft....not with our first rd pick.

    • The best thing the staff did was cut Leonard. That set a clear tone that you either perform or you don't. We did have the luxury of still having two quality starting linebackers so that eased the pain of his loss.   I firmly believe had we not lost Flowers to the IR and Rodgers to Suspension that Baker would have absolutely been cut. As it is Baker is likely on the outside looking in with the additions of Abraham and Simpson, Moore being the stud he is and plus the healthy return of Flowers and the uptick in in-game ability of Brents and Jones.    Woods being on the IR all of last year hurt, but it allowed Mallory and Ogletree to grow. TE's have a hard transition from College to the Pro level and usually year 2-3 is when they start to really take off. We have talent there in that room and SS will creatively use it!   WR's...........Downs will continue to excel and grow in the slot and will become electric. MPJ is a Reggie Wayne technician type that will move the sticks and occasionally add in a big play - a much-needed type on the outside. AP ran the most go routes of any WR last year, but Minshew could not throw him open or hit him downfield when he was, that is not on AP as he was doing as was scripted by SS. He is our vertical threat that opens up the underneath routes for the TE's, Downs and MPJ. Add in AD now as the all-around WR that can take the top off, run with it after the catch and run a full route tree at full speed and they all complement each other very well! Add in a (hopefully) healthy AR5 and that can become a dynamic group of receivers!   Safety - an outside free agent isn't always the answer. And it's going to be a player on the downside of his career as a stop gap. Simmons is not coming to our rescue. He will likely go to a sure-fire contender. However, there are still a few 30+ guys that could be a good stopgap on a one-year deal. If I had my choice though, I'd go with a younger guy that may still have a few years of juice left in him like a Terrell Edmunds!
    • I wonder if they will sign any of the rookie invites over what we currently have rostered?   Combing thru the list the following intrigue me: Justin Strong - RB - strong production and a high RAS = Ballard's type. Perhaps over Goodson or Scott Will Perez - LB - Similar/Equivelent Measurables of Ballards Build-A-Backer concept (6'3"/224/32.125" Arms/4.61 40 - 8.82 RAS from Princeton so probably really smart too) over an Anderson or Ajiake
    • By calling him a crybaby, Doyel ruined Steichen interviews for eternity.  Listen to Steichen interviews from Philly.  He sounds like a perfectly normal dude.  Now, because of Doyel, Steichen is guarded, and will do the cheap Belichick impersonation as long as he is here.
    • The Fever have Bigs and Shooters, but those were triple teamed last year. Covering Caitlin will leave them to get open. She’s perfect for the Fever.
    • Thanks bestest buddy!   And wow, nice gift! You know what they say… food is the way to a Mom’s heart!  I know it was delicious! Great Sunday all around!
