No joke at all. I was about to make a thread suggesting that we trade a 1st rounder to get Donald Brown back

Donald did a great job in pass protection the other night....I was sad he didnt get to run the ball much though.....I have NO IDEA why they were running Danny Woodhead between the tackles....uggh. I still think Donald will be a valuable piece to that team at somepoint.

As for Freeney...he looked good...but he really only got pressure when he was going 1 on 1 with a TE. I don't know what the heck Arians was thinking trying to cover him with a TE. I think Freeney can get some pressure but at this point he is probably a 6 sack a season guy....definately not worth burning picks over. Good luck to him though!!

OK, Trent sucks and we have no pass rush...which one of you big mouths have a better idea.  I know the 3-4 won't work without a rush LB so what do we do.  Freeney is better than anyone we have on the roster for that position, Werner is too slow and Hughes is gone.

REALLY HONESTLY WHAT ARE YOU SAYING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am saying the 3-4 without a rush LB doesn't work - if you don't believe it watch the tape from Monday night. If you don't have to account for that position, the protection is easy...wait, were you talking to me???

Nope, he was a straight QB rush specialist, he only came in on passing downs to go after Palmer. Honestly the more you watch it, the more you realize that it's not the acceleration that seems to have gone in his waning years, it's the brakes and handling. Against a statue like Peyton (who he will get to face twice), he should do fine. Any QB with any maneuverability should be able to sidestep him though, as he simply can't seem to stop once he gets going.

But he gets there and that's better than we are doing now?  No one is going to trade a "Mathis" at this point...we have to do something, lots of smart mouths, but no solutions....

True but this ship has sailed we need to find pass rushers among our roster now, not trade for a guy who is old, way past his prime & didn't preform well in a 3/4 when here. And do you really think SD would trade him back the answer is NO!! Get creative and produce a pass rush with who we have!
