   The "Indianapolis Star" is reporting that a source with knowledge of the situation has informed them that P Pat McAfee will play this season under his "franchise tender" which he signed in April.

 

   Do you think this is a good move for the team - OR - do you think the Colts should have signed McAfee to a long-term contract extension ??

Dont know, he is making 2,977,00 $ which is the 6th highest salary among starting Punters this coming year, Mcafee had the 5th highest yard average per punt and the 3rd highest Touchbacks , A long term deal will get done, Its just a matter of time

He'll get re-signed when we do the deal with Vontae this off-season

I think its a reasonably good bit of business for both parties for the moment. Pro Bowl standard player and fan favourite. No chance he hits the open market.

The deal will be done next offseason. Book it.
