Top 5 offense?

He never said the Colts had the best defense. He said if they hold their own. Keep in mind the Texans only finished one game ahead of the Colts. Colts were a team that had 37 new players and a rookie QB. 5 of 7 receivers were rookies. A less than average running game. When the Texans home field advantage was on the line their defense couldn't hold the Colts. The Colts were one play away from tying the Texans for the division. The last play of the game to the Jags. I don't think there is that much difference between the Colts or the Texans.

I know he didn't say that you guys had the best defense...which is why we were talking about offense, which is wrong. I've argued enough about the flawed logic of that last game and the coulda woulda shoulda thing though, so I'm not going to address that. I will say this though: We will both be fielding completely different teams this upcoming season. Last season's results don't matter. It's time to usher in the '13 season! I hope the South is competitive not only from you guys but from dare I say it the Titans as well.

you'd seriously take Flacco over a QB that led the league in yards passing? your basically saying you would take Joe Flacco over Dan Marino

ok... wow... i'm gonna try to understand ur logic here.

If Flacco > Schaub means Flacco > Marino then you are saying Schaub > or = to Marino?

Im saying I'd take a guy whos passed the 4000 yard passing mark twice in his career, leading the league in passing yards once and has thrown for 25 or more td's 3 times in his career and a 60 plus percent completion percentage 7 times in his career over a guy whos only thrown 25(exactly) td's in his career one time who has not his the 400 yard mark in passing any season while only throwing for a 60 percent completion percentage 3 times who got hot over a 4 game stretch that earned them a SuperBowl win (which would not have even happened if the Ravens dont make that goal line stand on the final play of the game)

i see where ur coming from, and im not saying i disagree with Schaub over Flacco... i just dont think either guy deserves their name in the same conversation as Marino.

I don't see top 5.....  at least, not yet....

Too many question marks....   too much unproven talent....   everything would have to go just right, plus we'd have to have excellent health all year long for us to reach top 5.

I'd say more like top-10....  with, hopefully, a top 16 defense....      that should put us in the playoffs and make us competitive this year...

However,  2014 is a different story!

Oh it has nothing to do with Marino, It has everything to do with some thinking suddenly because Flacco got him a ring that makes him elite when in truth he has been a game manager up until the 4 game stretch leading up to the SB win. Game manager is not a derogatory term, There are alot of QB's in the league who wish they could be good game managers
