Your Favorite Football Books (Colts and other)

I must admit that I haven't read it, but Friday Night Lights is the greatest show that I have ever had the pleasure of watching. I've been meaning to read the book, thanks for reminding me!

One book you HAVE to read is "Fatso" by Colt legend Art Donovan..He tells it like it is, and also, like it was back in the day. Awesome......Awesome book..Once you read it, you'll love it.

What are these "books" you speak of? I have heard them mentioned by the ancients,

Seriously, good topic. So many NFL books have been written over the years but I haven't read many. Dungys books are good. I know John Capaletti had a good one and Brian's Song was great. Famous movie that will make you cry. Rosie Greer had a good one as well.

While I love the old War Stories books as ColtFan4Life mentions in "Fatso," I do not think you can go wrong with any of Joe Gibb's books.  Like Tony Dungy, Coach Gibbs always has a 'life message' and some devotional content.

I have always respected Coach Gibbs.  He has a couple of racing books too.

North Dallas Forty was maybe the first book to lift the curtain.  BTW, the book has a different ending than the movie.

I really don't know any Colts books besides what Dungy wrote. Reggie White wrote a book that was very good, but I can't remember what it was. Brett Favre also wrote an autobiography during his earlier years with the Pack
