Eagles might be going after Revis.

The Philadelphia Inquirer passes along a rumor that Eagles GM Howie Roseman is "crunching numbers" and "putting together an offer" to acquire Darrelle Revis.

It would make plenty of sense. The Eagles are sickly thin at the cornerback position with the impending and inevitable departures of Nnamdi Asomugha and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, and they have a boat load of cap space in order to meet Revis' salary demands. Beat writer Jeff McLane speculates Philly could package the No. 35 overall pick with a future pick to entice the Jets. New York is reportedly "determined" to trade Revis prior the the draft.

While reports of the San Francisco 49ers and Atlanta Falcons being hot on Darrelle Revis' trail have been raised and subsequently denied, the Denver Broncos have been flying low on the radar screen.

No longer. One source tells ESPNNewYork.com that the Broncos have expressed interest in a trade for Revis.

One team that might give the Broncos a run for their Revis money is the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, with more than $30 million in salary-cap space. The Buccaneers' pass defense was horrendous enough that they finished 31st in total defense despite boasting the league's top-ranked run defense.

If a Revis trade is going to go down, there's a good chance it happens early in the free-agency period. His "camp" is pushing for a quick resolution out of fear that the cornerback market could dry up if potential suitors land an alternative such as Sean SmithAqib Talib, or Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie.

Let them, too big a price tag and he may have peaked already.

I realy cant see Denver Dpoing it and cuttiing Dooms salary

Yeah fills a need , providing that ACL is healed as well as they are saying, CB Omar boldden last year some said was steal of draft as would of been a 1st or early second rounder if not for his torn acl, Know Denver will try & use him more

The n again also said that about chapman and neither done much YET

so cut dooms pay, pay Revis alot, already Paying Cjhamp over 10 ,million, but also give up a high draft pick

Rather find a lower cost CB in FA, and keep a pick may get another starter or often contributor in a deep draft , Denver has needs with 3 DTS  in Free agency, are trying to resign Vickerson  ( who they could of locked up last year but low balled him into 1 year contract as was coming of IR  and then played better than expected  not ty waran as hes been on IR for 3 years and other starter so far no word on attempt to sign him, Bannan, & hes 33

If cut doom then need DE, so need besides DT's   need CB, RB, & OL depth with 4 of 5 OL coming back after surgery, Probaly resign stockley but need another WR as Willis is crap and  Andre Caldwell did nothing, its just    lucky last year Decker & Thomas not hurt, u cant count on that always

& what do they do with MIL, so far will let Nate Irving and undrayfed free agent from last year, forgot name fight out for starting slot and may Drop DJ Williams with his 6 million salary,

;But realy need a mid or someone  who can cover good TE's as that save for last game beat them all season long  much worse than WR's and will again face good ones this year

Denver haas alot to think about

There is alos the chance that Denver keeps doom at lower salary, still signs Freeney tp pair him with Doom and move Wolfe back to DT where he played in college

If the Jets were smart (that's an open question) they'd ask for Nick Foles to be part of that deal....unless of course Rex is worried Mark Sanchez will slit his wrists or curl up into the fetal position at the mere thought of competition.

But if the Jets are going to part with Revis, and it looks like they are one way or another, they might as well take a stab at their next QB in Foles, who has 3 years left on a 3rd round-selected rookie salary....which takes a little sting out of the $8M grand theft that assface is committing against them.

With Michael Vick re-signed and Dennis Dixon brought in by his former coach at Oregon....it's clear the strong armed, dropback Foles, who was drafted by Andy Reid, is not in their plans. And he's probably better than any QB in this draft.

Foles, and a 2nd and 4th round pick for Revis...in his current condition...sounds about fair.

Although I do wonder how much longer Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie is gonna want his numbers "crunched" because of high-dollar CBs that are past their primes.
