Makes sense to see what Simpson can do at CB, and still have experience at safety if needed. With skill and experience at both positions I would think nickel would be another option.
To add to this, the times he ran first the play was specifically designed and intent on him running. When asked to throw he stays in the pocket and throws. Ironically I can see the future where he could’ve simply ran for a 1st down, and elected to throw and we end up with a stalled drive and much complaining.
So Jaylin Simpson will be conversion to CB, it seems. Not totally surprising. He has slighter frame than you probably need at S... and of course when you look at his arm length(32 3/8") you could have probably guessed that the Colts would be tempted to try him at CB
Soundtrack #30...
I never meant to cause you any sorrow
I never meant to cause you any pain
I only wanted one time, to see you laughing
I only want to see you laughing in
