Q about 40 times

Why didn’t all the quarterbacks participate in the 40? I saw AR15 and Stetson Bennett did but not Stroud. Do they just pick and choose what they want to do?

I guess it's not just the necessary measurement for the QB position, at least as it used to be. I believe 10 years down the lane, we'd have all QBs running 40 yards dashes as the league gets more and more mobile QBs. 

 

in future, 3 cone drill might also be added for the QBs who prefer to show off how agile they're in change of directions, etc., But, for the most part, QBs can choose what they want to do. 

 

QBs don't even participate in throwing drills if they don't want, so their preference plays into it. Many like to do in their Pro Day with the receivers they've got great chemistry already and the drills they like to perform, I guess.
