Charlie Campbell's Updated Mock

Recommended Posts

He's apparently been the best over the last 5 years, so I thought I'd share who he has in store for the Colts as of right now.  Comments?

2a) Brandon Aiyuk, WR, Arizona St

2b) Jeremy Chinn, S, Southern Illinois

3) Thadeus Moss, TE, LSU

4) Van Jefferson, WR, Florida

5) Kindle Vildor, CB, Georgia Southern

6a) Colton McKivitz, OT, West Virginia

6b) McTelvin Agim, DT, Arkansas

Evan Silva has been right behind him but he only has the 1st round mock so that does us no good.  Walter Chrepinsky has been very good as well, and what is interesting is he has us getting both Claypool and Kmet from Notre Dame, which is what happened when I did a mock draft with a difficult setting.  He has this full mock below:

2a) Trevon Diggs, CB, Alabama

2b) Chase Claypool, WR, Notre Dame

3) Cole Kmet, TE, Notre Dame

4) Casey Toohill, LB, Stanford

5) Christian Rector, DE, USC

6a) Marquez Callaway, WR, Tennessee

6b) Alex Taylor, OT, South Carolina St

That'd be insane. But kmet lasting to 75 would be kinda of a stretch I'd think.

I like this entire group.  Colton McKivitz could slide in to G or play tackle.  Versatile, a mauler and plays with a chip on his shoulder.  I watched him a lot at WVU and see this kid making a very good, starting G in the NFL.

I would not mind the Colts drafting Moss (t) but 3rd round is way, way too early for basically a younger version of jack Doyel.  Moss is an excellent run blocker and has good hands to make the catch, but he's not a receiving TE, he's very limited athletically and will struggle to get open against Lbers and safeties in the NFL.

Yeah I would agree, there are about 4 or 5 other TE's I would select before him, and 3rd round might be early.  I believe he is just going by need here, but there are certainly others better available.  I wouldn't necessarily mind getting him, just not round 3.

I would prefer Trautman or one of the Bryant’s here, but I would take Moss as a second option later in the draft. I agree that he will be a Jack Doyle type, which isn’t a bad thing
