Mid-80s with a chance of rain over-under at 38.5 in Florida

 

Rookie Jets QB Sam Darnold (56 of 93, 701 yards, 3 TDs, 5 interceptions) faces the heat in more ways than one against the Jacksonville 'Million Dollar Defense', which has only allowed 48 first downs and five touchdowns so far.   The Jets need to stay with RB Isasiah Crowell (38 carries, 171 yards, 4 TDs) because Darnold will throw the ball to the other team.

 

Jax QB Blake Bortles (68 of 112, 5 TDs, 2 INts) didnt throw any interceptions last week but he didnt get his side in the end zone in the 9-6 loss to Tennessee.  RB Leonard Fournette plays a little more than half the time so he may be ready to go this week.

Good news: Jax DE Calais Campbell (3 sacks in 3 games)  is hurt but should play...

Bad news: Jax is 4th in the NFL in penalties with 26 for 265 yards...

 

This one could be painful for the Jets.

If Jax (2-1) continues to pile on the penalties and Blake Bortles oversleeps the 1 p.m. start....the Jets (1-2) may cover the 7.5 but Darnold is not ready to be starting here...  Stay away from this game. Jax should win by 14 but they should have won by 14 last week, too...
