Left Tackle: Anthony Castonzo, 82.0 overall grade
Left Guard: Quenton Nelson, 95.1* (2017 college grade)
Center: Ryan Kelly, 39.9
Right Guard: Matt Slauson, 45.0
Right Tackle: Austin Howard, 71.6

2017 season-end rank: 25th (+8)

There are a lot of unknowns for the Colts up front, but for the first time in a long time, at least there’s hope. Quenton Nelson plugs in immediately at left guard and all signs in his college evaluation point to him being a quality, if not Pro-Bowl level starter immediately. The wildcards here are former high draft picks Ryan Kelly and Jack Mewhort. Mewhort looked well on his way to becoming one of the best guards in football before injuries struck and he was limited to only 979 snaps over the past two seasons. Kelly was solid as a rookie, but he too battled injuries this past year and floundered to a 39.9 overall grade. At least now they have second-round selection Braden Smith as depth in case injuries strike again.

 

I have yet to see anyone rate the Colt this high (from profootballfocus.com) not that I'm complaining but camps start next week. How do you rate a team on hope? FYI the Texans are at the bottom of the list. Adding to the good new on Houston radio today it was said Jacksonville is given a 7% chance of winning the AFC South.

Yeah, weird list.  Not sure how it gives credit for college players’ PFF scores, but it looks like assuming Smith as the starting RG would put us in the Top 10.  I personally think we have a Top 10 OL b/c:

1) Costanzo is a very good (and vastly under-rated) LT,

2) Kelly will be a PB quality player,

3) Nelson will be PB quality from Day 1, and

4) a lot of competition at the last two spots will lead to good starters.

i dont agree where they said he was solid as a rookie, he played like a pro bowler that year he just didnt get votes on an 8-8 small market team

Give ballard credit, knock on wood we don't have any major injures and we can actually have an oline that is not only good, but deep with mewhort good smith and haeg being a swiss army knife. We haven't been able to say that since 07

There is a lot of hope for the OL.  Nelson, Kelly and Smith could be young interior group that could staff the Colts interior OL for years to come.  Castanzo can give us solid play on the left side for probably at least 3 to 4 more years.  

 

We will need to draft a RT.

If healthy, I feel like these guys can quite possibly be a top 10-15 line.

He wasn't bad he just stayed hurt
