Free agent market for WRs and RBs stink

Maurice Jones Drew,CJ2K, Ben Tate, Knowshon Moreno are still in the market. McFadden signed for a 1 yr. $4 mil. deal, RBs are not getting good deals.

 

WRs like Decker, James Jones, Julian Edelman are still in the market

 

It is a lousy market for skill position players.

I agree. I always felt Irsay's "win now" pressure on Grigson forced Grigs' hand on the asking price.

Lets hope that impatience isn't the death of us.

 

But in regards to the topic, those are the 2 biggest plug and play positions in the NFL. Every year WR's and RB's get let go quick because they grown on trees. WR is usually a deep class, but this draft its a great class. And this is also a great RB class. Sankey, Seastrunk, Hill, Hyde, Mason, Carey, Williams, Sims,etc...

 

Plus rookies are always cheaper. You don't need to break the bank with WR's and RB's anymore. Look at the 2 Superbowl teams. One had a pedestrian receiver core, and the other had a pedestrian running game. Plus the really true "elite" RB's and WR's never hit the open market. They are either locked up long term or get traded for.
