Listen this guy has great balance and hands and can negotiate the wing of a moving plane……that's impressive. I hope Branch can do something half as impressive..

Good point on a sportstalk station yesterday...

 

Branch can run all of the Patriots' typical slot receiver routes - heck, he can do that in his sleep. NE's most productive receivers right now are Edelman and Amendola. Both guys can also play outside, but their bread-and-butter is running those little crossing routes and quick outs. The Patriots went from Troy Brown to Branch to Welker to these two guys playing in the slot, and Branch will have a very good handle on a lot of the fundamental routes in their playbook.

 

No idea if he'll actually play, but that's my bet as far as what he's doing to help Indy this week.

Branch was an outside WR not a slot. Not saying he could not do the slot routes if that is why they picked him up but he was an outside the numbers guy. And right now he has nowhere near the speed of either Endleman or Amendola.

Glad that this move worked out well. I understand why Deion signed on, but it still left a bad taste in my mouth.
