Welker can help the O, sure.

Unfortunately he can't install a head coach worth their salt or play defense. Sure you can put him on special teams, but I'm not so sure that's a good idea as of late.

The offense is mediocre on a bad day.

The rest of the team is mediocre on a good day. Every single week they find new and incredible ways to do something stupid at least once.  Even "disciplined" Trevathan had his INT return 1 yard line drop early in the season. He's as much a fool as the rest of them.

Von Miller had his ticket ordeal but at least he keeps his stupidity off the field. DRC is a good player, hopefully he can stay healthy. The rest of that D randomly act like a bunch of boobs. Might be best to celebrate after a 3 and out instead a long, time consuming drive or making a stop on 1st or 2nd.

11-3 is pretty good........NE has to go 3-0 to take the No,.1 seed ...

....Houston and Oakland left.......13-3 gets a first round bye under any circumstances

Talking about a bad overall team here is another Defense loss  ( poted this also under Peyton lock for MVP, , Note second article here on Defense shows why Peyton Must be 100 % perfect )

Get this

Broncos rookie cornerback Kayvon Webster will undergo surgery Friday on his thumb.

expected to miss at least 1 gaame

OK he aint great , but who is left

The suspension of linebacker Von Miller, the loss of offensive tackle Ryan Clady to injury and the frightening heart ailment of Fox all were significant, but nothing compared to the defensive problems Denver must fix in a hurry.

For the first time, the Broncos have reason to doubt themselves.

Peyton Manning is the most valuable player in the league.

While this was far from Manning's best performance of the season, it served as nearly a perfect illustration of why no NFL team is more dangerously dependent on a single player.

If Manning does not operate at near 100 percent efficiency, the Broncos are in deep trouble

In 2013, this Denver defense is a ball of confusion. With defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio furiously substituting personnel as he tries to find some way to keep his undermanned unit competitive, the Broncos can run, run, run, but they sure can't hide.

Tackle? That would be asking too much of the Broncos at this point. Right now, Denver defenders are having trouble doing much more elementary tasks, such as counting to 11.

How lost and confused are the Broncos on defense? This is all you need to know. Rookie cornerback Kayvon Webster was penalized for being the 12th defender on the field when he raced off the Denver bench as San Diego quarterback Philip Rivers took the snap on a running play 40 yards from where Webster committed his silly mistake of youth.

But this is a hurting team. Denver can't stop anybody.

Manning is the MVP.

One-man teams don't win the Super Bowl.

Fans chant Defense

Just take the play that almost immediately followed the crowd's chant. The Broncos had backed up the Chargers inside their own 10-yard line on fourth down, and San Diego was getting ready to punt, ahead 24-10 midway through the third quarter. This is easy, guys. Sit back and let the team leading by 14 points boot the ball to Peyton Manning, the best quarterback in football.

And yet it was anything but easy. Nate Irving jumped offside, giving the Chargers a first down and every opportunity in the world to march down the field and score. They didn't end up putting points on the board, but they sure did march, eating up nearly seven more minutes to burn much of the third periiod

The tuck rule was abolished before the Ravens/Broncos divisional game last season. It no longer applies.

I'll say this though - the same guy who inadvertently screwed Denver in that game officiated tonight (Bill Vinovich) and did an outstanding job. Both teams got away with one or two, but it was called down the middle.

Really? I thought the Tuck rule was abolished this past offseason.
