GCG5150's Offseason (2 scenarios)

Recommended Posts

Scenario 1 - Draft Offense

FA: Dashon Goldson (SS-49ers-hard hitting safety- will be good along with Bethea)

Anthony Spencer ( OLB- Cowboys-need a pass rusher- lesser of 2 evils with Kruger)

Arthur Jones (DE- Ravens- very much under the radar sort of FA- would do well in chuck's system)

Nnamdi Asomugha ( CB-Eagles- brings experience to young CBs, had his best season under Chuck, will work well in our scheme)

Draft:

1-( trade out of the 1st this year for a 2nd this year and some more picks next year)

2- Larry Warford ( OG-Kentucky- a lot of people like this guy on the forums-me included would be a great contributor to the o-line)

3- Oday Aboushi ( OT/OG- Virginia-would've liked Kyle Long here but he will likely be gone- Aboushi is a talented Lineman despite below par combine)

4-Le'veon Bell ( HB- Michigan State-one of the most underrated players in the draft-NFL's Bucky Brooks thinks he's the best RB in this Class and would be good in our system)

6-   Marquess Wilson ( WR-Washington State- big WR who on his tape- shows he has a lot of talent despite problems off the field- would be a good steal)

7- Eric Herman (OG- Ohio- if we drafted mainly offense, we mainly need Oline and Herman will be able to fill that need at guard, highest bench press at combine for a O lineman)

Scenario 2-Draft Defense

FA: Louis Vasquez (OG- Chargers-Considered an Under the Radar signing, would definitely be a bargain to get and will certainly fit our scheme)

Jake Long ( OT- Dolphins-although he will demand a lot of money, Andre smith will likely be signed, Brandon Albert is good but injury prone and Vollmer isn't that impressive)

Mike Wallace (WR-Steelers-also will likely asked for a lot of money, but Reggie needs a successor and he can definitely fit the Desean Jackson role in a WCO)

Draft:

1- Sylvester Williams ( DE- North Carolina- great pass rusher-something we lacked this year, could be very good opposite Redding)

3-Tyrann Mathieu (SS-LSU-alot of people seem to think he's too small to play CB and fair enough, but he has a ton of aggression to play safety and he is a very talented player)

4- Leon Mcfadden (CB-San Diego State-very good at man to man,can good opposite Davis IMO)

6-Kwame Geathers( NT-Georgia- definitely has potential and could be a good in rotation with Chapman and Mckinney)

7- Quanterius Smith (OLB-Western Kentucky could wind up a steal for us as he can definitely cause pressure as he showed against Alabama)
