I think it's more about the D-Coordinator and the individual player. Leonard was great because of speed and coverage skills. He fit into that defense. If you saw another of him, you'd hopefully want him. The league is tilted more and more toward passing. You have 3-4 linemen and everyone else has to cover to some extent. Sideline to sideline LB's who can cover are still valuable, but it's a less rare skill set than a cover corner or a pass rusher. -
Yeah I’ve not followed arch too much. Just every now and again. I think he’s two years minimum from the draft if he were to suddenly rise to fame.

If only they had a top 8 pick they didn’t waste on a QB who isn’t going to play for years… -

Not sure if this has already been posted - in case anyone missed this. Scouts Coughlan and Henry press conference post draft, -

One draft is likely too small a sample size to be certain, but I loved this pick turning a big safety into a LB. The 34 inch arms jumped out at me. But prior to the draft I wrote several posts about the Bucky Brooks story where he polled all teams that run a 4-3 defense and that half of them now view LB as a very diminished position, like RB on offense. So those teams will now only spend a Day 3 pick on a LB. Nothing higher than a 4. Did Ballard just reveal he’s now one of those teams? He didn’t use a high pick to draft another Shaq. I think we need next years draft to know more, but the first draft is encouraging.
