I want no part of Brandon McKinney. None.

He literally ate his way off the Minnesota Vikings. He was close to 400.

McKinney had constant weight issues with Baltimore. And now he's got salary issues with Baltimore. I don't want any part of a guy who can't play for Baltimore. If you can't fit in there, you can't fit in with Indy.

I'll pass and I won't lose any sleep over it. Bad fit.

Did you ever see Tarik Glen giving up 8.5 sacks?

Good tackles give up around 0 to 5 maybe 6 and I think I'm stretching at 6 for the whole regular season. Andre Smith who was a rookie for the Bengals I believe last year gave up 3. Michael Roos for the Titans gave up 1 sack in 2011. 8.5 is too high especially for Mckinnie who is an established veteran, and when you get around 10 then you are pretty much in trouble.

I don't doubt your right, and I don't know the #'s for what good LT's give up....was just admitting that giving up a sack every other game against Dwight Freeney caliber rushers doesn't seem like awful performance to me. Those pass rushers get paid for a reason.

1. Ravens LT McKinnie says he's been releas... (Rotoworld) LT Bryant McKinnie says he has been released following a contract squabble with the Ravens. 9 minutes

So, I don't know contract implications etc...

But per our sorry OL situation - could we do something here?

AND HE IS A RAVEN - PAGANO CONNECTION?!?!?!?

Our O line is not as bad as you are making it out to be. Are they great No, but are they a sorry O line definatley not. Thier biggest problem is getting the run blocking together but the colts have not been able to run block for a couple years so you can't really pin that on just these guys or a certian guy. TIME is the key as I mentioned about ten times already on here regaurding our O line but people dont seem to get it. It the same concept with our team and a bunch of new guys, Its gonna take them time to get to thier full potential. We are are not gonna have agreat run game right away or look perfect in pass pro right away especially with three new starters. Devoping a solid run game requires developing a certian attitude and alot of work as well as a cohesive Offensive Line, especially when your just starting out. Now or Pass pro well we gave up what, 6 sacks this pre season and yes Luck had to scramble and avoid some sacks and pressure but thats part of the game to. He's gonna get pressured and sacked at times. It's not always gonna be a clean pocket even though the guys should strive for that. So you average the numbers out and Our O Line did OK really for a unit that has just begun gelling. Now if we were looking like this with a group of starters that had played for two three years together then I'd be alot more concerned. Lets see where were at about mid season and then maybe start making accurate judgements.

    • You are too self-deprecating. You are one of the most respected and bright members here. You should never feel that you are failing. I'm sure your wife and children don't feel that way.  Indiana does not pay teachers what they deserve. But money is overrated. Having good morals and good character should be valued a lot more. JMO.
    • They make a heck of a lot more money than I do. Even those on the practice squad are making life changing money.    To be completely honest, as an educator I feel more like trash nowadays. One of those moments where I feel like I’m failing as a man, a husband, a father and a teacher. I would absolutely never consider an honest working NFL player as trash.
    • Food for thought… Once again, you continue to be your own worst enemy.     The Colts overall TE room is loaded with young players most of whom have had very little playing time for a variety of reasons.   So if you want to say the room might not be ranked high, that’s fair.    But you don’t say that.  You call them “trash”.  Why you feel that’s appropriate is a mystery.   Whenever you try the internet tough guy approach it typically blows up on you.     No one is trash.     You ignore the last three years and the QB and HC carousel the Colts have dealt with.  All of which has impacted the Colts weapons, especially the TE’s.   Ballard has publicly talked about how promising he thinks his TE room might be.   Woods, Granson, Ogletree, Mallory and MAC.    Only MAC is questionable and that’s because the salary hasn’t matched expectations.  But the first four?   All are promising.   They’re just young and looking for opportunity.  But they are NOT trash.     There’s a difference.
    • Some of the coaches?   That sounds plural to me.   To the best of my knowledge the focus in this community has only been on one coach who may not be maximizing the players the Colts have.   And that’s the defensive coordinator.  He’s been a hot topic of conversation.  But I’m not aware of any other coach being viewed in a negative light.
    • Insane that this has been going on since 2015. From what I gather it’s due to the NFL making Sunday Ticket too expensive on purpose so only a select amount of people can purchase it, forcing most to use CBS and Fox.
