"Dockett signed a two-year, $7.5 million contract with the 49ers, with $4 million being paid in the first season and $2 million guaranteed, a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter".

 

So basically he would have counted 4 million against the cap. At 33 he'll have a couple good years left, and with a decent rotation he could be an impect player. The 49'ers got a great deal, we need to get a few "good deals" and soon..

Yeah that's a good deal for the 9ers. Dockets still a really good DE IMO. I think he wanted to stay out west didn't he?
