When Grover was out we got mowed over

 

Some folks like the ENORMOUS DT T Vondre Sweat to the Colts  I think he is a 3-4 NT vs a 4-3 DT 

 

Byron Murphy or Masaan Smith may be consideration to back up Grover, (IMHO)

If we can get Vondre Sweat with a 2nd, I would take him. His frame would require a double team.

As with Illinois, he will play on early downs at LDE, then shift inside on passing downs

Edgerrin Cooper - SSLB Playmaker that can defend the run and the pass

Josh Newton - Very good CB that can compete for the CB role and bring needed depth

So, I know this would never happen, but, in this mock, it did.  What do you think about doubling up on WRs?  Ballard likes to double up on positions in drafts.  Getting Odunze and Egbuka would improve the WR group and help make it a strength.  I would still sign Pittman, have Downs as the slot, then work in Odunze and Egbuka as WR3 & 4, leaving Pierce as WR5.  Pittman would be our possession WR, Od & Eg would be the alpha WRs in training, Downs as the slot and Pierce would excel working against lesser CBs.  What do you think?

Rome Odunze would be a great pick up, if we didnt have a promising slot WR,, I would like Emeka.

 

Cedrick Gray would seem to be a perfect fir for the Colts at SSLB
