Going by periodic table back to school days, 2 is He for Helium and 8 is O for Oxygen.

 

28 is HEO

Maybe he should change his number to 48?  Zirconium is 40, Oxygen is 8.  Zirconium Dioxide is the naturally occurring substance that Cubic Zirconium is derived from.  In other words, he may be a Fake Diamond.
