This story is out publicly.   Sorry I can’t link it, I’m on my phone.

Two weeks ago, the Eagles hired Fangio to help them win the SB.   It’s a 2-week contract designed only for todays game.

He’s already been hired by Miami and will be their DC this coming season.

And yes, I’ve never heard of this happening before.  Props to Philadelphia and Sirianni for doing this.

Yes, good hire. Fangio’s Broncos forced Mahomes and the Chiefs to kick a lot of FGs though his squad went 0-6 vs Mahomes. Andy Reid doesn’t mind taking the points too, I’ve noticed, so I won’t be surprised if Butker kicks 4 FGs.

I posted it a few hours ago in the Super Bowl thread. I have two links there.

I think it sets a bad precedent. JMO

After the Bengals D and Eagles D performances vs Mahomes, which DC is more likely to be Cardinals HC? I’d go with Bengals DC that’s more experienced in the bigger stages, just my two cents.

I’m sure Eagles fans want their DC gone while Bengals fans want to keep their DC, there’s that too.

Smart move.

ANY TIME you can gain increased knowledge and experience - it's a good thing.

With a young group of coaches heading to their first-ever Super Bowl - this seems like a remarkably great idea.  Can't believe anyone didn't think of it sooner!!
