Let's be a little more honest.

Had Peyton not had one of the fastest releases and a receiver who was great at timing patterns things would have been a lot different. The Colts were pretty much at the bottom of the NFL with their running game and their defense most all of Peyton's career as a Colt. Add the terrible special teams play and this team was very rarely a team good enough to win a super bowl. Peyton was the best player on a one trick pony team.

Way too many years wasted with Polian setting up the offense while ignoring the rest of the team while leaving this team very deep in cap hades.

Yes the wins were great but they never made up for all the playoff losses.

No doubt Luck is a great QB and it's nice to see Ballard trying to put together a whole team instead of a one dimensional team.

Luck is never out of a game. If he was down by 20 going into the 4th, I believe he could get 21.
