RETURN GAME

Chances are David gilreath will get that job he's really good at it and pretty fast not to mention tough.

Gilreath is doing very well with the KR chores. If he can make some plays in the pre-season I expect him to get the KR job. He is also doing pretty well assimilating the playbook as well at WR. He is a tad small for WR, but he is tough and willing to take anybody on.

I wish they put this rule in last year, we probably would have beat the Jets! Actually, as much as it will probably help the Colts, I hate the new rule. The kick off return is one of the most exciting plays in sports.

I am curious to see if a new bread of KR will emerge. I am guessing the pure open field runner will be less successful than the guy who might have a little less speed but can hit the whole very decisively and who might have a bit more lower end bulk to him. It will be interesting to see.

Hopefully he and spann can make the team, the colts are pretty set at WR so it could be hard unless he shows alot.

With the kickoff location being moved up, most kickoffs are going to just go through the back of the EZ now anyways... KR's are going to drop dramatically.

At least we're used to starting at the 20.

if i was the opposing kicker i would kick it short to force the colts to return it....

According to the team's camp notes:

"During punt coverage and returns, wide receivers David Gilreath, Anthony Gonzalez, Joe Horn, Pierre Garcon and cornerback Jerraud Powers were the return men.

The kick returners during Friday’s afternoon practice were Gilreath, Devin Moore, Larrone Moore and Chad Spann."
