If we blow up a position every year because players dont become all pros as rookies, we will never get anywhere.

But that defense and O-line needs to be imploded troll perhaps. the o-line is something that everyone should agree is getting built (work in progress).... nothing needs to be blown up. This coming season (with some minor additions & tweaking) it will be much better than it has been in three years.
Superman
I'm looking at the Colts scheduled free agents this year, and the only one I see a new GM being eager to keep is Jack Doyle. Mathis is retired. Cole wasn't good, and is 35 in October. Walden is 32 in August, and is a decidedly average role player. Butler is 31 in March, and has been spotty the past couple years. Adams is 36 in March. Carter didn't do anything. Turbin and Todman are okay; Turbin in a reserve role is acceptable, but for vet minimum only, and Todman is a ST/role player, highly replaceable. Thornton has to have used up all nine of his lives. McNary, Harrison, Kerr, Bray and Swoope are RFAs, so I expect us to hold on to most of them; if it were me, Harrison would be gone already. Outside of Swoope and Kerr, I'm not very interested in using a $1.7m tender on any of them. Bray is an exclusive rights free agent, so he'll only cost around $600k. Oldschoolcolt19
Or shop moncreif and the second round pick for a first and come away with two defensive impact players in the first round.

That just opens up another hole that would need to be filled at WR. How about keep Moncrief and the 2nd rounder and then *gasp* actually draft someone good with the second rounder, instead of, say, a project player.
