Track Guy's Final 2016 Ideal Mock Draft

Recommended Posts

Round 1:
Rams - Jared Goff, QB, Cal - Some reports have said this is who they want. He’s relatively pro ready which is definitely a quality you want in a guy you have given up the farm for.
Browns - Carson Wentz, QB, North Dakota St. - If the Browns manage to get the QB they liked best even despite what has happened, that could be the biggest break that’s happened to the franchise in years. Talented but not necessarily as pro-ready, a redshirt year behind RG III would probably be the prudent move. But you’ve gotta make the investment here.
Chargers - Larmey Tunsil, OT, Ole Miss - The Chargers had a horrible offensive line last year. A new LT would do wonders for them. Tunsil has enough upside to warrant the investment of a #3 overall pick.
Cowboys - Ezekiel Elliott, RB, Ohio St. - The Cowboys running game can return to dominant form. Elliott’s skills in pass protection and ability to catch the football only raise his value even further.
Jaguars - Jalen Ramsey, DB, Florida St. - Ramsey was in the discussion for #1 overall pick back when it belonged to the Titans. Ramsey can make an impact at corner or free safety.
Ravens - Myles Jack, LB, UCLA - Arguably the most talented player in the draft, Newsome will go BPA. Jack is scheme flexible, and will most likely succeed pretty much anywhere (as long as he stays healthy).
49ers - Paxton Lynch, QB, Memphis - Talented long term answer at QB. He has the upside such that the talk of him sliding into the back half of the first round seems like a stretch to me. Would be best off with a redshirt year, however.
Eagles - Deforest Buckner, DE, Oregon - An athletic, long, defensive lineman who should help the Eagles last ranked run defense (by yardage). That he’s arguably the BPA justifies the pick.
Buccaneers - Joey Bosa, Edge, Ohio St. - Probably best suited to a defensive scheme like the Buccaneers, and they certainly have plenty of need. Bosa was an early favorite top be a #1 or at least top 5 pick. Top 10 is still realistic.
Giants - Vernon Hargreaves, CB, Florida - If the Giants can get a top flight corner, they should. Hargreaves isn’t the biggest cornerback but he is quick and explosive.
Bears - Ronnie Stanley, OT, Notre Dame - The Bears could use a left tackle to pair as a bookend to Bobby Massie. Ronnie Stanley figures to plug in around this range in the draft, value wise.
Saints - Andrew Billings, NT, Baylor - A big, powerful force on the defensive line which needs help. He has drawn some comparisons to Vince Wilfork.
Dolphins - Shaq Lawson, Edge, Clemson - Cameron Wake is getting up there in age, and you can never have too many edge rushers. Lawson has some size and explosiveness to his game. His medical recheck at the combine went well.
Raiders - Robert Nkemdiche, DT, Ole Miss - A very athletic, talented player with some off the field issues.  I think Jack Del Rio’s scheme is pretty much an ideal fit for him. As long as they can keep his head in the right place, this guy could be a terror over in the AFC West.
Titans - Taylor Decker, OT, Ohio St. - A new starting right tackle to slide Poustassi in at guard. The choice between Conklin and Decker is tough, I personally prefer Conklin of the two but some prefer Decker. Decker plays with a downright nasty disposition that you like to see out of a lineman. I could see any team falling in love with that.
Lions - Sheldon Rankins, DT, Louisville - He is a guy who could become a pro bowler in my view. His technique is advanced, his athleticism is good. There’s really not much I can say to knock this guy. Definitely worthy of going this high.
Falcons - Darron Lee, LB, Ohio St. - The Falcons need to bolster their defense. This is obvious. So they can take an athletic linebacker like Lee, who really only fits in a 4-3, but brings rare, elite speed to the position.
Colts - Jack Conklin, T/G, Michigan St. - There’s definitely a chance that this is wishful thinking on my part. The Colts 29th ranking rushing offense (by yardage, as well as 31st ranked by average) is putting to waste all of their outstanding offensive skill players and putting undue pressure on their defense. They simply have to get much better in the trenches on the offensive side of the ball. Conklin would help them do so at either tackle or guard.
Bills - Reggie Ragland, LB, Alabama - A high football I.Q. inside linebacker with some value as a blitzer. Rex Ryan could view him as a building block and future leader of the defense. He can't cover too well, but he's a heavy hitter.
Jets - Connor Cook, QB, Michigan St. - Either the most or second most pro ready QB (along with Jared Goff) Cook could fit well for the Jets. The knock on him has been accuracy, but he has shown himself to be relatively accurate throwing deep. His percentages on passes 20 yards down the field or longer are actually very encouraging. He has been compared to a slightly better Kirk Cousins, which is actually not such a bad thing given Cousins lead his team to the playoffs.
Redskins - Vernon Butler, DT, LA Tech - Butler moves extremely well for a man his size. The Redskins defensive line could definitely use another talented player. Butler is versatile because he has the size to play NT as well as the length and movement skills to play DE in a base 3-4 front.
Texans - MacKensie Alexander, CB, Clemson - The Texans don’t have to chase a need. They will gladly take the 3rd CB in a relatively talented class. Alexander isn’t the biggest corner, nor did he intercept any passes in college. But his ability has put him in the top-20 on a lot of boards, maybe the Texans see this potential out of him too.
Vikings - LaQuon Treadwell, WR, Ole Miss - The Vikings need a bigger bodied receiving target to give Teddy Bridgewater. If Treadwell is on the board, he fits this bill.
Bengals - Jarran Reed, DT, Alabama - The Bengals will wait a little bit on WR and go DT, choosing Reed over his teammate. Reed is a bit more athletic.
Steelers - Noah Spence, Edge, EKU - The Steelers take a talented edge rusher with off the field issues here. Maybe the whole Martayvis Bryant situation makes this pick less likely. But his on the field talent would give the Steelers linebacking group an absolutely nasty young core of players. Somewhat irresistibly so.
Seahawks - Jason Spriggs, OT, Indiana - I think Spriggs is warranted to be picked around this range. But even if he wasn’t, if there’s one team that is justified in reaching for a tackle, it’s probably the Seahawks. After losing LT Russell Okung, their already weak offensive line needs a replenishment of talent.
Packers - Leonard Floyd, Edge, Georgia - The Packers need more talent on defense. Floyd is somewhat raw but he is fast and should fit the Packers well scheme wise.
Chiefs - Michael Thomas, WR, Ohio St. - The Chiefs do need more production out of their wide receivers, even still. Outside of Jeremy Maclin, they don’t have much.
Cardinals - Ryan Kelly, C. Alabama - With the addition of Evan Mathis the Cardinals interior O-line is doing ok for the short term, but there is still a need at center. Enter a long term solution in Ryan Kelly.
Panthers - Karl Joseph, S, West Virginia - A talented safety who should go in about this range as long as his medical report isn’t especially bad. The Panthers do need to bolster their secondary as well.
Broncos - Jonathan Bullard, DT/DE, Florida - A versatile O-lineman who impressed at his pro day. The Broncos could certainly use his services, now that they’ve missed out on the top 4 quarterbacks.

Round 2:
Browns - Josh Doctson, WR, TCU
Titans - A’Shawn Robinson, DT, Alabama
Cowboys - Shilique Calhoun, Edge, Michigan St.
Chargers - Corey Coleman, WR, Baylor
Ravens - Will Jackson, CB, Houston
49ers - Cody Whitehair, G/C, Kansas St.
Jaguars - Nick Martin, C, Notre Dame
Buccaneers - Eli Apple, CB, Ohio St.
Giants - Tyler Boyd, WR, Pittsburgh
Bears - Jaylon Smith, LB, Notre Dame
Dolphins - Josh Garnett, G, Stanford
Titans - Will Fuller, WR, Notre Dame
Raiders - Sterling Sheppard, WR, Oklahoma
Titans - Kendall Fuller, CB, Virginia Tech
Lions - Shon Coleman, OT, Auburn
Saints - Kamalei Correa, Edge, Boise St.
Colts - Kyler Fackrell, Edge, Utah St.
Bills - Darian Thompson, S, Boise St.
Falcons - Hunter Henry, TE, Arkansas
Jets - Graham Glasgow, C/G, Michigan
Texans - Germain Ifedi, T/G, Texas A&M
Redskins - Pharoh Cooper, WR, South Carolina
Vikings - Kevin Dodd, Edge, Clemson
Bengals - Emmanuel Ogbah, Edge, Oklahoma St.
Seahawks - Derek Henry, RB, Alabama
Packers - Kenny Clark, DT, UCLA
Steelers - Keanu Neal, S, Florida
Chiefs - Chris Jones, DT, Mississippi St.
Patriots - Su’a Cravens, S/LB, USC
Patriots - Javon Hargrave, DT, South Carolina St.
Panthers - Braxton Miller, WR, Ohio St.
Broncos - Dak Prescott, QB, Mississippi St.

Round 3:
Titans - Bronson Kaufusi, DE, BYU
Browns - Jerald Hawkins, OT, LSU
Chargers - Vonn Bell, S, Ohio St.
Cowboys - Sheldon Day, DT, Notre Dame
49ers - Josh Perry, LB, Ohio St.
Jaguars - Deion Jones, LB, LSU
Ravens - Kenneth Dixon, RB, LA Tech
Giants - C.J. Proise, RB, Notre Dame
Bears - Yannick Ngakoue, Edge, Maryland
Dolphins - Xavien Howard, CB, Baylor
Buccaneers - Le’Raven Clark, OT, Texas Tech
Raiders - Jerrell Adams, TE, South Carolina
Titans - Vadal Alexander, G/T, LSU
Eagles - Devontae Booker, RB, Utah
Saints - KeiVarae Russell, CB, Notre Dame
Eagles - Artie Burns, CB, Miami
Bills - Kyle Murphy, OT, Stanford
Falcons - Jeremy Cash, S, Duke
Colts - Austin Johnson, DT, Penn St.
Jets - Nick Vannett, TE, Ohio St.
Redskins - Cyrus Jones, Alabama
Texans - Christian Hackenberg, QB, Penn St.
Vikings - Jalen Mills, S, LSU
Bengals - Rashard Higgins, WR, Colorado St.
Packers - Scooby Wright, LB, Arizona
Steelers - Rees Odhiambo, G/T, Boise St.
Seahawks - Max Tuerk, C/G, USC
Patriots - Will Redmond, CB, Mississippi St.
Cardinals - Carl Nassib, Edge, Penn St.
Panthers - Charles Tapper, Edge, Oklahoma
Broncos - Christian Westerman, G, Arizona St.
Lions - Kenny Lawler, WR, Cal
Patriots - Joe Haeg, OT, North Dakota St.
Seahawks - Maliek Collins, DT, Nebraska
Broncos - Kentrell Brothers, LB, Missouri

Good job man. It all seems believable. Conklin could be there or he may not. It's hard to know. If he is then we need to pounce on him.

You definitely put some work into this, and it shows.

Just my personal spin on your mock draft, I would take Westerman in the third and that would solidify our offensive line for years to come. And I would also take Dodd over Fackrell (although I like them both).

Conklin OT, Henry RB, Johnson DT might not be a bad option either...Gore is our #1...age is concerning...and our 31st ranked (On Average) run game is awful... I like your mock draft.

I would be thrilled with this draft!

I am hoping that Conklin drops to #18  and I really like Kyler Fackrell.

If this were to be how the draft plays out, I would hope we would trade up in the 3rd to land Artie Burns from Miami. I keep hearing his name as a fringe first rounder though.
