Michael Johnson

Don't really know what spot this goes in but mods can move it. What do you guys think of Michael Johnson of the Bengals? He was very productive last year but not so much this year. Apparently the Bengals won't tag him and let him test the market this year. Good move for the Colts or not? We need pass rush help.

If we brought Wade Philips in for a 1-gap 3-4, he would make a J.J.Swatt like 3-4 DE pass rusher with those long arms.

 

Otherwise, not a good fit for the 2-gap 3-4, IMO.

Mediocre pass rusher. Great against the run. Do you think he could play OLB?

I'm not so sure actually.. he doesn't have a great motor. Maybe we can coach him up on it. I was also thinking Michael Bennett but I figured he'd cost much more.
