I see roughly 8 picks that have tossed about as possible, even likely first round picks....

 

There is first round talent to be had in the 2nd round....

 

That should be some serious food for thought for those considering whether the Colts should trade back to the top of the 2nd round or not....

Like a lot of GMs have opined in the NFL, after maybe the first 5 or so players, this draft is not nearly as top heavy as in the past. That also means that teams are less likely to move up, IMO. If you feel that you can get a good player at 14 or 24, most GMs will stand pat. Same thing probably applies to 24 or 34 too.

 

That also means that there are going to be a lot of players that GMs might evaluate just 1st round worthy instead of top 20 worthy and a player that is first round worthy can go No.10 or No.20 because once you get past the first 5 in the first round, there will probably be less quantifiable reaches, IMO.
