Philadelphia Eagles at Dallas Cowboys

It is hard to say how big of an NFC East battle this will be. If the Giants run away with some games, then this one might mean less. It could still have some wild card implications but it looks as if the Wild-Card teams will be coming from the Central/West this year.

Possible replacement games:Note that some of these games are going to be locked into CBS/FOX but the status of each game is not known:

Patriots @ Dolphins

Seahawks @ Bears

Colts @ Lions

Vikings @ Packers

Steelers @ Ravens

Afraid to put Bronco players in danger as need rest for that Thursday night game in 4 days and thought 4.5 hr delay may hurt someone & by removing needed rest time during a shortened week

In the end, no changes were made.

NBC prime time will be stuck with the dud game between the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles.

The Cowboys are 5-5 and the Eagles are a laughingstock.

To take away 4 1/2 hours of recovery and preparation time would have put the Broncos further away from peak performance.

Apparently, NBC and the NFL agreed that the flex schedule cannot put one team at a competitive disadvantage.

Besides, the Broncos have already played four prime-time games, and the Oakland game will be five. There’s a great chance they will be playing in prime time in January. And Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning isn’t exactly underexposed.

Peyton was over-exposed initially, IMO. Peyton could have used more primetime games later in the season than earlier and his team would probably not have lost to all of the Falcons, Texans and Patriots if those games had been later, IMO, when some rhythm had been built for that offense and defense.

Totally agree wouldnt of lost all 3 and more battle tested too for playoffs than ending with easier sched, though easier sched better with no Mcagahee

Agree. That initially put them behind the 8 ball a little. But I think it helped Peyton and the OC to see where they needed to improve and it may have contributed to them turning the offense over to Peyton a little more. The biggest problem for the team is that the early losses have given them almost no shot at the #1 seed in the playoffs.

belive u r right on both counts, Fox saw the 2 back system wasnt working and late in game no huddle 1 back was

Broncos need to win out and Pats & Balt fall, Balt aced out with Big Ben down & Texans Vs Bears & no Cutler

If the Texans beat the Lions on thanksgiving, they probably clinch the #1 seed because they can still afford to lose to the Pats and the head-to-head wont matter much then. I dont see anyone else other than the Pats beating them prior to game 16 vs the Colts. Ideal scenario for the Colts is for the Texans to beat the Pats thus clinching the No.1 seed before game 16 and probably playing their starters only for a half in the last game. I am certain our playoff hopes will ride on that game in a "win and you are in" fashion.
