No, it isn't possible.  BUF traded a guy who wasn't playing for them, plus a draft pick, for a player that is good for kickoffs and being able to make an occasional big play because of speed.

Moss is showing you what a backup RB should be, which is why I was always correct in not liking Hines, and so many others got it wrong.  Ballard finally figured it out, and some fans are starting to as well.

BTW, its nice to see how our LT play is elevating the entire oline success.  You know, because LT is the only oline position that, by itself, is impactful.  So when we had AC the line was good.  When he left, it sucked.  Now we have a LT who gets better grades than the LG position, and the line is pretty good again.  Its almost as if the LT play is the key to the oline and LG can be journeyman quality....almost.  Go figure.

Oh boy.

Well, you'll have to ask another poster why this thread includes a Nyheim Hines discussion.  It was to use Moss' play and trade to dig up an opinion I had of Hines, then claim I was wrong bout it.  Hines sucked as a runner, and everybody finally figured it out.  Moss doesn't.  There is the difference, which is why using Moss to attack my opinion of Hines makes no sense.

Heh.  I was reacting to your bringing LT & LG into the discussion.  :^)

I am really curious to see baltimore's ratings as compared to teh colts.  If there's is similar or slightly lower, or if they're higher.  Because I mean, all of our scores seemed pretty low and we won.

Their Overall Offense grade was higher, but was mainly carried by their run game (Lamar) and run blocking - two areas the Colts lacked in. Other grades were pretty close.

Their Defense was higher almost across the board (Colts had better passrush), but that fit what we saw in game I feel.

I didn't see the entire game, but I assume our run defense and tackling...and their run game...was impacted by broken play scrambles by Lamar scored as rushing plays?

Does PFF view a broken/failed pass play QB scramble/sack escape as the "run game"?  Or as a mark against the passing game, like it probably should be.

IIRC the two touchdown runs by Lamar were designed plays, not broken down plays?

I don't know to be honest. I'd think it would be classified as a run play, because a broken down play can be caused by a more than the QB - Oline protection, receiver routes etc. It could be both though? The grade for passing seems to be entirely on the QB while receivers, blocking etc. are graded separately. So, if the QB is at fault for not taking the shot and running instead it could be a knock against the passing grade but a plus for the run game.

Ok, that might explain this game.  I don't recall if they were designed runs or not.

I would think that a 20 yard scramble after the oline gave up a bad pass rush would still be categorized as bad pass blocking, and not necessarily help the run game grade (obviously not good run blocking since it was a pass play).

Its a point I'm tossing around.  If a QB gets a lot of positive yards by scrambling, is that really a good thing.....if its the result of his bad passing game skills?  Its logged as rushing yards and a ypc stat.

Can't edit the OP.

If you want to delete the thread or edit it yourself go ahead @w87r

After getting confirmation back, I have went back and edited out the week 3 grades from the OP. I left the team stats, but please, leave those out from any team premium grades out of future post, as well. Also left the thread open to continue the good discussion that is on going.

As I stated before, we can't post premium content on such a large scale, like this. If you want to discuss a few players scores that is fine, but you also need to provide a link to the source. In this case it's behind a pay wall, but it will give whoever clicks a chance to pay for a subscription and get the information if they would like.

Like I said, I do(we all do), appreciate the work you put in here, just have to tweak the presentation a little bit.

I was getting ready to mess with cumulative grade through week 3 grades post.

If you want to do that, let me know, you can take it over.

Just like to keep the running total going for the season.

Thanks for editing the OP. I'll do better.

A heads up then. I'll wait to post PFF grades until the free stuff is out. Then I might add a few grades for a few standout guys and a link to the grades. Fair?

A separate thing and not PFF grades but some other statistics:

The Colts just posted these stats on FB

23 TFL (1st in NFL)

12 sacks (T-2nd in NFL)

7 FF (T-2nd in NFL)

That's how you do it defense!

You're good, you didn't do anything "bad". In fact it was a great write up, just have to adjust a little bit.

Sounds good. Did you want to mess with the cumulative or just want me to keep doing it? Let me know, I will take care of it now if so, but if you want to, I will leave the link to my last one below.

As far as those defense stats, I was just looking for a good place to post them, couldn't find it so just created another thread. Like we need another one, but didn't seem like a good thread to post it in, at least not one high on the list.

To be honest, I just like seeing things as a whole and listed out. I can go through and look at the grades individually but it doesn't do anything for me till a write it out and see the big picture.

So I don't mind doing it at all, probably would still do it anyway. just didn't want you to get discouraged after putting in the good work here.

Looking forward to future post and the new presentation.

Ballard was right to trust Raimann with the LT position. He’s been of our best players these past 3 weeks.
