Exactly. I would not be surprised if it happened, now that AB is no longer with Tampa. I don't like that the NFL allows that.

Out of curiosity,   why do you feel that way?   He is going back to the team he retired from.

I think it sets a bad precedent. They are now in the postseason. Since Weddle was not with the team during the regular season, I don't think he should join the team now. It is a competitive disadvantage for other teams.

 

If the NFL allows signings of free agents at this time, why not allow trades?  It all seems wrong. JMO.

If a team has injuries they need to be able to sign other players.    All free agents can sign with playoff bound teams.     I highly doubt weddle will see any playing time.   He is insurance at best
