ColtsBlueFL
So Pat Kirwan and Jim Miller put on a 3rd Mock draft yesterday. They have talked to most players, and GM/Head Coaches of teams. Scouted needs etc. They each too alternating picks from their compiled lists for each team. I one chose a player they wanted, they had to go to next best players on list for that team. They could trade, too. And, Kirwan put on his be front office suit and put on the Dave Gettleman posture. He had the G men trade all around (OBJ and #2 in separate deals), including with Colts. We move back to #9 and with more picks (#66 and #135). Here is how first round went as I listened floating in my swimming pool here in SW FL... Pat Kirwan and Jim Miller mock draft #3, w/trades NY Giants trade OBJ to 49er's for draft pick #9! NYG has #2 and #9 picks now. 1. Cleveland takes- Josh Allen NY Giants, trade pick #2 to Broncos for their #5 and next year #1 (NYG have #5 and #9) 2. Broncos take Sam Darnold 3. Jets take Baker Mayfield (sorry Miami) 4. Cleveland takes Saquon Barkley 5. NY Giants take Quentin Nelson NY Giants trade pick #9, #66, and #135 to Colts for pick #6 6. NY Giants take Bradley Chubb Bucs trade #7 to Bills for #12, #56, and #96 7. Bills take Josh Rosen 8. Bears take Denzel Ward 9. Colts take Roquan Smith 10. Raiders take Minkah Fitzpatrick 11. Miami take Tremaine Edmunds 12. Bucs take Derwin James 13. Redskins take Vita Vea Packers trade for Giants next year #1 pick, this year #34, #69, #108 14. NY Giants take Calvin Ridley 15. Cardinals take Lamr Jackson 16. Ravens take James Daniels 17. Chargers take Da'Ron Payne 18. Seahawks take Maurice Hurst Jr. 19. Cowboys take Davin Bryant 20. Lions take Derrius Guice 21. Bengals take Harold Landry 22. Bills take Mike McGlinchey 23. Patriots take Leighton Vander Esch 24. Panthers take Jaire Alexander 25. Titans take Marcus Davenport 26. Falcons take Harrison Phillips 27. Saints take Mike Gesicki 28. Steelers take Rashaan Evans 29. Jaguars take D.J. Moore 30. Vikings take Isaiah Wynn 31. Patriots take Conner Williams 32. Eagles 'fans boo' as they take DJ Chark Colts had picks- 6, 36, 37, 49, 67, 104, 140, 178, 221 going in to their mock draft. Then Kirwan says we trade and thus get- 9, 36, 37, 49, 66, 67, 104, 135, 140, 178, 221. Kirwan had us take Roquan Smith at #9. I'll post round 2 later. Thoughts? Fisticuffs111
I know we're all about going for speed on defense, but I have a hard time seeing Ballard pass up on Chubb (or trading back) if he's there. JMO of course. I do like Roquan at #9 though.
WarGhost21
I’d personally take Edmunds over Smith, but can’t argue this trade back.
MPStack
Personally, I don't think I pass on Chubb, but that would be a nice haul of picks and R. Smith would be awesome.
LockeDown
Wow, that's interesting.
boo2202
Wow if this happend and your a giants fan you must be happy. They get Chubb, Nelson, and add picks. That's a homerun for them.
Finball
Quote Packers trade for Giants next year #1 pick, this year #34, #69, #108 That's one big gamble and potentially horrible trade for the Giants. At least keep it realistic (not shooting the messenger). As for the Colts, I'm okay with it but I think I prefer Edmunds.

GuitarMD
Roquan is awesome - as a weak side linebacker. He has great instincts and could be a day 1 starter at Will. Edmunds has awesome potential and would probably be used as a strong side linebacker. Edmunds will have a big learning curve and will most certainly make some rookie mistakes. Both of these guys would make our team better.
Boiler_Colt
If we got 3 2nd rounders to move from 3 to 6, it will take a lot more than that to move from 6 to 9 especially with Chubb on the board.
Track Guy
If we traded down and were able to snag Roquan Smith, I can dig that. Especially if the best player in the draft, Quenton Nelson, is not available as in this scenario. My thought is I would've like to see us trade back up into round 1 in this scenario and snag his teammate Isaiah Wynn. He's not Quenton Nelson, but he's seriously good, and I believe he would help our team tremendously. In any event, the Giants made out like bandits in this mock draft (although I guess it costs them OBJ).
Hoose
The trade with the Giants is woefully inadequate. They’d have to pony up a lot more than that.

As for the Colts, I'm okay with it but I think I prefer Edmunds. Kirwan was an Ex front office/personnel guy for Jets. He has actually performed these calls/trades. We fans always want more than is offered. I do as well. He is somewhat more realistic then we fans. Smith projects as WILL for base D, but we will be in Nickel and Dime most of the time and he is a MIKE in that instance. 18 minutes ago, Hoose said: The trade with the Giants is woefully inadequate. I take it you want Chub, and forgo two extra picks and sliding down 3 spots?
