Oladipo led the league in Steals and Deflections, he definitely deserves 1st Team All-Defense. Has anyone ever not made 1st team leading the league in those 2 categories?

No, he doesn't play enough minutes per game to be considered that. Oladipo logs many more minutes and has to play Great Defense much longer in games. A bench player can be great at anything if they only play 20-25 minutes and just do 1 thing. If Joseph started and played 36 minutes a game guarding the others team best Guard he wouldn't look near as good, JMO.

Unbelievable! Tie game at Half 45-45. Rockets should be up big! Rockets were up 11 and have missed a bunch of wide open 3's. Warriors haven't played good at all and have it tied.

You can say that but ...

Cory Joseph was our defensive specialist...you said so yourself

He was on the floor at the end of games so Vic wouldn't have to guard the top scorer on the other team. .

We both saw that....we said it right here many times.

 

I mean, its Okay....but this was a complete shock to me

I don't disagree that Joseph is a Great Defender but Oladipo just played more minutes and led the league in Steals so I see why Oladipo made 1st team.

These teams are an odd match because they both want to win the 3-point line..but they get there so differently

 

GSW 'plays the game the right way" according to the talkers because they pass so much.

Houston plays isolation and 'hero' ball with Harden and Paul

It's intriguing to see who will win out here

 

Finding the open man is classic basketball..but at the end of games, you need a 'hero' to take the big shots

Yeah this 2nd Half should be really good. Normally the Warriors kill teams in the 3rd Qtr so it's important for the Rockets to keep the crowd in it and start fast.

I was shocked....and still am....we inserted Joseph in games so Vic would have to guard the other teams top scorer.

We talked about it many times here.

Vic is all-NBA and that;s more important

Yeah Vic made 3rd Team All-NBA, so did PG-13. That 3rd team looks great on paper.

GS missed Iggy a lot. Having to switch centers onto Paul and Harden is killing them. GS can’t really go small like they want. What I don’t understand is why KD doesn’t sit on the post when anyone but Ariza is on him. Clear out and get him the ball 6-7 feet away and he can just turn and shoot over Paul, Harden, and Tucker.

Anyone's game after the 3rd. Warriors lead 72-71. Who knows how this 4th Qtr will go? It's a make or miss league so obviously who ever makes their 3's down the stretch will win.
