Bleacher Report puts Colts @ 3rd in Power Ranking

Honestly, Bleacher report can shove it.  After having SF ranked like 8th at 2-2 and Falcons at #10 with a 1-3 record, all ahead of a few teams at 3-1, all credibility went out the window.

Didn't they have the Colts at like #14 last week?

Absolutely correct.  Cannot be any better than what they are.  Now I have my doubts about them because of the QB who I simply do not believe is very good.

Agreed.  I don't think they're the better team, but the simple fact of the matter is, they have won more games.  The only time the SOS argument comes into play is when there we have gone through all the 5 or 6 tiebreakers before it in figuring out playoff seeding.  It alsocomes into play during the draft and it only has like 2 tiebreakers before it.  Other than that, it's a meaningless stat.  5-0 is still better than 4-1.

Yeah, one of their writers did.  Dropped the Colts from 12 to 14 after a win.  It didn't matter who it was against, a drop just didn't make sense.

That's how bad the Jags are...you blow them out of their own stadium by 34 points and you drop in the power rankings.  Not very sound logic if you ask me...

Nah, it was actually the right read. The TE should have came back to the ball.

I beg to differ.  The right read was the wide open RB that was sitting right in front of Romo, not the TE that had a LB draped all over him.  Whether the TE should have come back to the ball or not, the right choice is the open guy.  Romo didn't make the right choice.

^implying TEN isnt relevant this year.

KC probably has the best defensive front in football, and they are unbeaten. Theyve looked really good in all those wins too. You cant fault them for taking care of buisness week in and week out.

Until theyre offense proves to be too weak (because the defense IS legit), they stay ahead of Indy in my opinion. That could change, but based on the season so far, I cant put KC below a 1 loss team.

To me, and this is not being a homer, I think the colts would embarrass the chiefs, honestly. If it weren't for a phantom "illegal shift" call against Miami, we'd be 5-0 with wins against two top 5 teams in the nfl, along with, in my opinion, a playoff team in Miami.

The Saints should not be number 1 sorry. Denver, Saints, KC, Colts. The Saints have flaws that I believe can be a great weakness later this season and in post-season play. You must pass against Denver and match point for point, and I really don't know many teams that can match that caliber offense. A good Defense all around can stop them but only limit them to a lower high scoring game. I Think KC, Seattle, and Colts have best changes to beat Denver with their defenses.

Who has kc beat?

The Cowboys are probably the best team they have beat....and that game was even as can be. Beating Tennessee with Fitzgerald at QB doesn't really count as a quality win. And frankly, I don't care that they haven't lost.....this isn't college football were people feel compelled to vote based on record.

All of the undefeated teams should be ranked ahead of the Colts. The schedule should not matter. All of these teams play in the NFL.

All the undefeated teams are ranked ahead of the Colts (at least in the links above). There are only 3 undefeated teams now.

    • Can't keep having your safety be leading tackler. We will also lose Cross to injury if the rest of the team can't learn how to tackle.    Especially Franklin
    • I still think the inaccuracies and the sailing of his throws is masking the progress he's made as a QB. I think decision-making-wise and when it comes to reading the defense, he's on a very good trajectory. He looks like a QB who knows what he's doing, who knows where he needs to go with the ball. He probably needs to work on his timing with the receivers a bit and he needs to be a bit quicker with his decisions at times, but overall those are things a young QB will naturally get better at with time and experience.   Just take a moment and think about it - it feels like almost every single one of his worst looking throws are throws where he went through his progression, read the defense and made the right decision. Just the throws themselves were off. Some of them WAY OFF.    Now don't get me wrong, at some point he will need to start hitting those throws because at the end of the day what's the point of reading the defense and making the right decision if you sail the ball 5 yards over the receiver's head? If he doesn't get better at that, he will bust, because no team will have the patience for a vet QB who can't hit those type of throws with any consistency. I really hope the coaching staff is working with him on it and we see some progress by the end of the season.
    • Give him the rest of the year before we make too much judgement on progress. Dude is super young and still figuring it out.     I think his footwork is poor, and he relies on his rocket launcher arm to save him w/o thinking about mechanics. When he's under pressure is when he resorts to kind of like a backyard ball approach.    I think the WR's have issue on trying to catch his fastballs, so now he's trying to throw with "touch" and underthrowing quite a bit. Though there have been a lot of dropped passes by the WR's for sure.    All these wildly sailing balls and inaccurate throws are what's concerning. Hopefully it's all correctable. (I think it is?)
