More to come?

After hearing about the trade this morning, I was in shock. In a good way I was shocked. I have been a Colts fan since 2006 and in that time I have been wanting the Colts to either draft, trade, or sign a big name to the team. With the offseason I was praying that the Colts would in my words "open the bank" and sign some big names to Indianapolis. While we did sign some interesting names like Bradshaw and Heyward-Bey, I was hoping like a Victor Cruz or a Mike Wallace would come to Indianapolis, but that did not happen. But when I heard about this trade, I thought maybe this is a sign that next year the Colts will be very active in free agency. Am I kidding myself that this could happen, or are other Colts fans thinking what I am thinking.

Grigs likes to go for unknown players with upside (Toler, Cherilus, Thomas, RJF, etc). A lot of those haven't worked out so far but it's still early who knows.

Then again they have all worked out so far. Competing hard and just newborns in the scheme and process.

Cross our fingers that K. Holmes can develope into a solid starting Center.

Thornton should be very good in time.

So we then need another solid guard. Griggs will get one next off season. I have total faith.

Castonzo will be here at least one more year that is just how they are, so we will anxiously await his developement.

He has shown some really good run blocking at times.

Picturing the other 4 being good, and a rugged running game, his pass blocking won`t look so iffy.

And as the QB Greatly improves his 3 step passing.

We need to spend our FA money on a LT that can keep luck upright I think we are good at RT and Thornton will take a G spot and either Thomas is ok or we can replace him it don't matter

But if we get a good o line our offense will be dominant

Alex Mack, the C from Cleveland is a FA next year.  27 year old pro-bowler.  I doubt Cleveland keeps him since they are "rebuilding" Then draft a tackle if AC doesn't improve dramatically.

Who amongst those listed hasn't worked out?

We're two games into the season and all have looked decent at least.

It's far too early to be making any definitive statements but none of our FA signings look like flops to me.

    • The D-line personnel remain to be seen. My concern is whether or not Gus Bradley has the capacity to orchestrate the talent we have to best advantage. I'm skeptical. I feel Bradley is too dogmatic and ideological in his philosophy to use the tools he has.   In short, he can't see what he won't see, and I don't know if anyone on the team has the ability to change that.
    • He hasn't been a pancaker since he got paid. My recollection is often iffy but wasn't it year 4 that he played with an ankle injury? And he came into the league with back issues.   I pound the table that our opponents don't give an inch to Fries when it comes to Fries knocking them back in short yardage. So absolutely our opponents can line up their strength to cover from Kelly to a L TE.  What has been shocking since his early Pancaking All-Pro seasons is him getting drive blocked so instantly and powerfully that he looks like a Joe. And occasionally big guys are around him in a flash. My first thought is he is off on the snap timing. Nelson is still executing loads of good blocks and I would put his pulls up against anyone. Yes, OK, definitely many of those are pancakes. When I was thinking of pancakes I was picturing him going mano y mano with the guy across from him and riding them for 6 yards then landing on them.  It's history.
    • What is the percentage of runs behind Q that don't get 3rd and 4th and short.  Thanks in advance.  I'm sure you have the percentages
    • Where did I say that Porzingis is better than Haliburton?   By the way, Porzingis’ stats are similar to Halliburton except that he averages 2 points more per game , 5 more rebounds per game, more than 1 more block per game, etc. Halliburton is a better passer… because that’s his job. But don’t dare argue that Porzingis doesn’t contribute as much.  Literally every stat proves otherwise.
    • They should have won when Tatum was a rookie, or within the first 2-3 years as a 19-22 year old?   With no other support? Heck, Lebron didn’t win until he formed a Big Three in Miami. MJ had a fantastic team around him.     Now that the Celtics have a strong team around Tatum, they’ll be there for years.
