I'm Happy For Curtis Painter

I know. I know.

He's 0-2 as a starter and his first halves have been significantly better than his 2nd half performances..

But I never thought he'd ever play as well as he did in the first quarter Sunday..

No turnovers//No fumbles... I just felt good about it...

When we start looking ahead to next season, we dont have any needs at the QB position...

We have our backup QB..

I think I would hold off on that thought until we play a team that is a good team. Painter did well today but it was against the Chiefs. Wait and see what happens against the the Pats, Falcons and the Ravens and such. rotfl

..but I think Curtis has proven he's not a waste of space..as many said...The backup QB doesnt have to be great..

he is good enough for a backup, we just need a team around him

I have to give Painter some props. He has played better than I thought he would be playing. Granted it hasn't been against the best of teams, but to still play the way he has after the treatment and what people have said about him, has made me give him some props.

Hey remember Painter just finally got some reps this week and well lets face it we are finally seeing what we have all known for a while our coaching staff is well HORRIBLE. Nuff said Curtis was good enough to win the D was not.

I think Painter is playing a lot better than most thought he would and that is great. I never thought he was a waste of space because we need a back up QB. I don't have the hope that Peyton will be playing in December but who knows. It will be the doctors decision. Peyton won't play until he's cleared no matter what.

We needed to finish this game today and we didn't. The last I knew a football game is 60 minutes not 30 minutes. If we can get another good 30 minutes to go with the first 30 we will get a win.

Agree 100% Painter should have the starting QB position unless he gets hurt. I can't imagine what he goes through every week wondering if he's starting and not knowing until Friday. It sounded on the pregame show that someone there was told that Painter would be our starter from now on if I heard it right. Maybe someone else heard that and can clarify that for sure.

If it werent for Clarks drops and broken off routes - Painters 2nd half would have been a lot better, and the outcome might have been as well.

Any time a QB stakes the team to 17-0, 24-10 leads he should go home with a win. This loss was not on the offense. Every team we play makes adjustments as the progresses while we just stay the course.
