McGahee, whose future as the Broncos' starting running back would seem to be in peril after the team drafted Montee Ball in the second round, was the only non-injured veteran who wasn't present Monday for the first day of OTAs.

McGahee also had spotty attendance during the Phase I and II offseason conditioning program. All offseason training activities (OTAs) are voluntary until the mandatory minicamp June 11-13.

"He's following the same routine he's had his whole career," said Chafie Fields, McGahee's agent. "He'll be there. He's ready to compete. No messages."

Overall Elway said the coaching staff wasn't worried about Willis' drive instead they want him 100% for training camp instead of stressing his body in OTA's.

Willis McGahee agent Chafie Fields: "He's ready to compete. No messages.'' McGahee is veteran who works on his own. Offseason is voluntary.
