Are there OTHER Mock Draft Simulator Websites?!?

7 posts in this topic

So....  now pinned at the top of this page is the one from FanSpeak.com...

And that's all fine...

But I get the sense that there's at least one more, maybe two...

There appears to be one that gives each of your picks a letter grade,  and there's one that also lets you do trades....

These might even be the same website??

Anyway....   I'm just curious if I can get someone kind enough to post some links to any other draft website of interest for me to take a look at....

While I like the one at FanSpeak,  I don't love it...

Because, frankly, a number of the player rankings strike me as nonsensical...

As I stated in another thread.....   if you have garbage in (programing)  you get garbage out (mock draft results)

Thanks for your help.......

First-pick.com is the only other one I've used. I'm sure there are others, but that's the one I know of. It requires you to set up a free account and login before you draft, but it's pretty decent.

The player ratings and projections are probably not what they should be, just like FanSpeak. I expect that updates and changes will be made as draft season progresses. We're just now having the college all star games, so it's still early.

OK....   I tried first-pick.com.....   and it's even more addictive due to the ability to make trades...  though I don't think many of them are very realistic....

That said, I turned 5 picks (including the R6) into 12 picks...  with three-3's, three-4's, three-5's, a 6 and 2 7's, and was rewarded with 6-A's, 4-B's and 2-C's.

According to their system, I was rewarded with 3647 points,  but that didn't even register among the top 20 Colts fans drafts!

So, many of you are flat-out kicking my horses's rear on this website......

I gave the Colts 3 DL, 2 ILB, 2 CB's, 2 DB's, 2 WR's and a RB.    The only position I didn't fill was interior O-lineman because I didn't like the ones I was offered when my picks came around.   Otherwise....?

Not sure what more I needed to do...   but take a look...

Yeah I don't get the scoring either. I stopped worrying about that after a while. I think there's a way to do it to rig the points, but that's kind of not the point for me.

Also, I agree, these trade scenarios are a little out of control. I stopped accepting trade offers and just stuck with our stock picks.

    • That is why it is good to put your eggs in other baskets too, like March Madness, and even a bit of Netflix.   I never caught up to Breaking Bad, so I am catching up now.
    • I just read that Fabian tore a pec muscle during his proday and had surgery.  One analyst suggests the surgery may drop Moreau into the 3rd round.
    • Your Welcome  Aniston is a total hottie BTW
    •   Right. But those same pro scouts drafted Locker, Gabbert, Ponder, Leinart, etc. QB is just a different animal...the position makes teams do silly things. That draft class was abysmal at QB...so it was anybody's guess how those QBs were rated. And even though that was argubaly the worst QB class in a long time, some pro scout still signed off on drafting one in round 1.   I agree that Ballard has his own big board...and it probably looks a bit different than anything we have seen. I honestly don't know what to expect. But given the clear needs on the roster, it does seem to align with the deeper positions in the draft.
    • The reason there isn't more CBs in the mocks is because it is so deep at the position.
There is a steep drop off at nearly every other position but CB, TE and S.
The difference between a 1st round edge rusher and a 2nd rd is miles apart, but with CB this year we can get a guy in the 2nd or possibly even the 3rd rd who can perform equal too or even better than a CB drafted in the 1st.

I think we will forever regret not taking RB McCaffrey. RB might not be the biggest need, but we can definitely use one and we can still use a receiver, and a return man. Bite the bullet and sign Hankins and Revis. With these 3 the only thing we are missing is another edge rusher, inside LB and maybe an Olineman, but those 2 things are desperately needed.

Heck, really bite the bullet and sign not only Hankins and Revis, but Zach Brown as well. Give Hankins a 1 year deal like Poe, Revis a 2 year front loaded deal and Brown a multiple year deal for an average of about $5 million. Our defense would be stout with these 3 additions and they won't break the bank and we won't have to rely on nailing every draft pick.

I don't see anyone projecting McCaffrey going to the Colts, yet I hear some experts putting McCaffrey above Fournette. He is from Stanford so you know the kid is smart and he excels at everything, plus who was the last good white boy running back n the NFL? Peyton Hillis? Madden curse got him and he wasn't half as versatile as McCaffrey who can not only receive like a receiver(top 5 WR as well as top 3 RB) but he can also return the ball. We have like 3 or 4 guys that take turns as the returner, McCaffrey allows us to cut all those guys.
