But looks 85 with the lifestyle he lived up to this point. His health has been declining a ton over the past couple of years. I'm not sure he has many seasons left being able to run the team.

Agreed,  it doesn't cause your back,  hip and leg joints to require multiple surgeries though.   That's why he is in a wheel chair.   Not drugs and alcohol

Jim hasn't been in good health for quite awhile.  His injuries due to power lifting is something he has had for years. 

As far as his addiction, his doctors prescribed the pain medications. 

It's not hard to get addicted when all you are doing is trying to stop the pain.  I, myself have had an addiction in the past.  I had 2 reconstructive neck surgeries with close to two years of healing and rehab. It took a pain management specialist 8 months to get me back in the right frame of mind.  I can relate to Jim's problems with addiction.
