Reich and Ballard has had a different QB for the past few years (Luck, JB, Rivers, Wentz). Let's be honest we are in QB purgatory. In the AFC we are looking at Mahomes, Allen, Burrow, Jackson, Herbert and possibly Rodgers. Oh what a time to be alive lol. This year draft has been dub "trash" by most draft experts when it comes to QBs.

 

 

 

So all this to say let's trade Carson Wentz to the NFC South.

 

Highly unlikely but listen, with a aging Matt Ryan the division and every other team with question marks at the position Wentz would be the cream of the crop. Who is desperate enough to take Wentz.... the Saints.

When looking at all the top free agents WR all of them have injury concerns. No one has had rehab time like Thomas. Statistically none are on his level as well.

Brandon Cooks, Stefon Diggs, Keyshawn Johnson etc.

Contract

Thomas contract is 15.5 for the next 2 years then 18 million. This may sound expensive but remember TY was 10 million this season. Also Davante Adams is looking for 30 million a year, Amari Cooper is being paid 20 million a year.... with the rising cap, having the numbers already locked in as well as no dead cap makes him really attractive money wise.

 

This team of Michael Thomas, Hines, MPJ, JT, and Parris Campbell should be enough weapons to put up 30 points and a excellent situation for a 2023 Rookie QB to walk into.

Give Wentz another "Show Me" year with improved supporting cast. Let us have 1 normal offseason for a QB in the last 4 years, just for the love of continuity and see what happens.

I disagree. I would take Watson and Lawrence over him every day of the week. Perhaps even Tannehill.
