New here.....so maybe mentioned before..but....remember when the Colts drafted Ugoh? They traded up in the second round giving up the following year's first round pick.....what if the Colts did that this year in rounds 2,3,4 and 5?...trading DOWN?.......they announce to all 31 other teams that their 2nd round pick is available for swap in the 2nd round and 2013 first round pick....do that through round 5.....they would draft lower in each round this year...but in 2013....they would have 2 picks in each of the first 4 rounds.....

Strange concept but interesting. They did it once for Ugoh, but can't imagine them or anyone else pulling it off for that many rounds.

With the GM and coaches all being new, there is pressure on them to win now. I don't think that they can wait another year before making much improvement through the draft. Let's also keep in mind that this year's crop of rookies will need time to develope. It's an interesting concept, however, given the circumstances with the teams FO and coaching staff, I don't think it would happen.

I'm anticipating something more along the lines of a packaged 3rd round pick + Freeney during the draft to move up for another early 2nd, or possibly late 1st this year. But I could be delusional.

I know it won't happen......just seems like the team has so many needs....they could still get players this year who are high on the draft board...in the lower part of each round....then 2013....picking at something like 10 and 20 in the first four rounds...I really wonder why bad teams don't do this......you would surely have at least one team in each round who is salivating for that one player at the top of the round......
