ESPN: Six OTHER Teams with Disappointing Seasons

This is an article that ESPN ran leading into week 17.    Frankly, I was surprised the Colts were not listed among the six.   Or add a 7th.

 

But I think in their world,  once Luck abruptly retired,  visions of a good season were not very realistic.

 

So,  they profiled six OTHER teams who had disappointing seasons.

My point for posting this,  is that staying competitive year after year,  with all the things that can go wrong on a team during a long season is hard.  Really, really hard.    

 

We can look at the last 3 Super Bowls.   

 

2017:  Atlanta loses to New England.    The Falcons haven't sniffed the playoffs since.

2018:  Philly wins it all,  and this year didn't make the playoffs until winning on week 17.

2019:  The Rams lost to New England and didn't make the playoffs this year.   They were supposed to.

 

Again, the point is....    winning in the NFL is hard.    Much harder than some people here want to recognize.
