Thanks for posting. Cardinals are under I think though, they're known for actually being a cheap franchise. Their major signing was the huge contract to Fitz but I can't see how with just that one contract they are over the cap by that much.

dont forget kolb's huge contract

Well let's just say that Manning would get the same deal as Kolb. They're still 15 million over the cap...I don't know how that could be. And besides Fitz, can you think of one person on that Arizona team that is commanding a good amount of money? But maybe they still need to cut people, I've heard some of their older linemen that have performed badly will probably be cut, so maybe that will help. Just weird to me that of all teams cardinals are the team with the most money over the cap.

Ya, does our number includes all the dead money we added or is it before the cuts?

    • as long as ballard is not picking his mo is to trade back for more picks with lesser talent
    • ballard has turned the colts into the new challenge for the number one pick with the panthers instead of playing to win the division against the texans
    • Ballard should be right there next to Gus answering questions about doubling down on this meh type defense that's neither top tier nor dominant. A defense that's been ranked 28th out of 32 teams in points allowed two seasons in a row and is now ranked dead last overall while also maintaining a nearly last place spot in nearly every major defensive category.   Even though Gus is not very good at his job he still commands a defense void of top tier talent outside maybe a couple and what I mean by top tier are special types that can change a game, difference makers or shutdown types. Our starting low rd linebackers are ok at best. The secondary has a collection of unproven or oft injured JAG types in which one was coming off an Achilles tear and was just released. Outside maybe Buckner (who was not drafted by Ballard) the d-line is avg.   In the end the talent is NOT good enough for a man thats been on the job nearly eight yrs but hey Ballard loves his guys!!! The problem is so does every opposing qb and offense....
    • Basically saying He's personally trying to play through it and doesn't want to miss games. How much he could make a difference playing with injury remains to be seen.   Not sure if it would risk making the injury worse, which you want to avoid ideally as Colts need him long term and this year isn't really "do or die" year anyway.
