Robert Mathis, one of the NFL's most disruptive pass-rush ends, on Monday agreed to a four-year, $36-million contract.

It includes a $15 million signing bonus, guarantees Mathis $17 million in the first year and pays him $24 million over the first two years.

Its alot of cash but I think its worth it as he will adjust nicel. Freeney tho I believe needs to be traded to a defensive end needy 4-3 scheme team. Maybe New England or Atlanta. 19 Mil this year and no contract next year its time to move Freeney and get something back. Hughes may flourish as outside LB in 3-4

the first two years would have to be very close to what i posted, the last two years is just how i would have back loaded the contract like freeney's is.

they are probably looking at other contracts for the team and how they fit into the cap in future years.
