It's too early to make a definitive judgement,  but after two games I'd say we have a considerable fall-off from what we had last year.

 

If I could combine the best of Tolzein with the best of Morris,  then I think we'd have a very good back-up.

 

Tolzein may have experience and may be more cerebral,  but he's stiff and mechanical in his movements as he goes through his progressions...

 

Morris is athletic and fluid.    He's got a better arm and better feet.     But it's not clear he's ready to read NFL regular season game defenses yet.     He has issues with pre-season level defenses.      And regular season is an entirely different animal.

 

I don't want to carry 3 QB's on the 53.     Maybe Morris slips through and he can go to the P.S.       Or maybe he beats Tolzein and becomes the back-up...

 

I think the coaches may need the next two games to figure this out......

I was going to post something very similar to this. I like Morris' athleticism far more than Tolzien's experience.
