This means Clady is out or traded. If he is traded, the Broncos get $9.5 mil. in salary cap room and if he is cut, about $8 mil. in salary cap room, I think. They approached him several times for a pay cut but he refused apparently. He watched the Broncos from his couch the last 2 seasons, so good riddance on their part. They barely have about $6 mil. to sign their rookies, so there is no moving him to RT.

Elway sure is hedging his bets on building a well rounded team that does not emphasize QB play heavily or consume too much of the cap. However, I do wonder if the Colts can sign Clady for the RT position for our new ZBS on a 1-year show me deal

Clady needs a team and he cant ask for much..

 

You're right about the RT deal in Denver.....why pay him even half of what he got...to play a position he hasn't played in the pros?  And why count on him?

 

I'd take a chance...in Indy....If he's 100%, he's a better LT than Costanzo who CAN play RT

Spotrac doesn't have the full details of the contract but they are claiming that $5 million is guaranteed...still very little for such a large contract? I am curious to see the full details?

very interesting...that means its a series of one-year deals in reality

Okung is a good pick up. But I wonder if he'll have anyone worth protecting in the backfield.
