I agree. Some people believe that these caps give players a false sense of security/protection. I believe if it helps reduce head injuries, they are worth using.

Yeah Taylor talked about it for a bit on the sidelines and said he couldn’t really think of any negatives. Sure it’s kinda weird looking at first, but if it reduces concussions and therefore keeps a player on the field I’m all for it!

I am not a Social Worker but I do ask these questions when we receive a trauma patient. I maintain the airway and assist in stabilizing the cervical spine.

I would like to hear from the OL and DL

about using the Guardian cap.

I wonder what questions are asked in the observation tent…

1. What team are you on?

2. What position do you play?

3. Which Kelce brother is dating Taylor Swift?…ok, ok ,scratch this one.🤦‍♀️

4. What’s your name?

Guys, Guardian caps are a good idea… just remember to protect your neck!

 

Somebody tell the trainers to tell the players, “Don't shake your head! You can’t shake off the symptoms from head trauma.”🧠

 

Now, about that new kick off rule, WOW!

Maybe next season, the new rule will be to “not tackle so hard.”🤪

The QBs will wear flag football belts… pull the flag, no tackling.

If the QB runs beyond the line of scrimmage…it’s On!

Interesting that only 2 players on the Colts are known to be using them during the regular season…but one of them is NOT JT which I was surprised to read about.

I think everyone should wear them…the better the protection the better.

I think the hard helmet gives players a false sense of security.  Nobody would do what these guys do with their heads without a hard helmet.  I still think getting rid of the hard helmets might change player behavior and prevent injuries.   Just my thoughts,  no data to support it.

Each NFL player is allowed to choose their own helmets - based on an NFL rating for each position group.

 

ANYTHING that allows a player to protect himself better gets a big "two thumbs UP" from me!!
