Glad to hear that the coach is expected to pull through with flying colors & be his old self in no time flat. 

I do joke around about Madden's captain obvious broadcast style in the booth sometimes, but I have nothing against the man on a personal level.

Love John Madden. Great HC & human being. He was instrumental in vaulting the Oakland Raiders to prominence. Was also heavily involved by making the AFL dominate before the merge in 1970. A great broadcaster along with Pat Summerall for years. Glad to hear he's going to be okay. Always looked forward to Thanksgiving Day during his tenure with CBS. Circled turkey legs and fixins. I remember the good joking humor with players and the TelePrompTer.

He used to LOVE Brett Favre, and Dallas, and especially Kurt Warner and the Rams.

Yes Bogie, John couldn't hide his affection for players he liked a great deal like Favre, which actually helped humanize him & made Madden sort of a kind neighbor on the air we wish we lived a few doors down from.
